MAKE UP ARTISTRY

ITEC DIPLOMA IN FASHION, THEATRE AND MEDIA MAKE-UP, LEVEL 3
QQI MAJOR AWARD 5M5265 (Option)

DESCRIPTION

This is a practical course that develops and broadens the artistic and creative experience of the student. It is aimed at those who would like a career as a professional Make-up Artist.


EDUCATIONAL PROGRESSION

Completion of the major award at Level 5 allows student to progress to a variety of courses at Level 7 and 8, that do not require a specific Major award. Mature entry, also available.


EMPLOYMENT

Students may progress directly to employment/self-employment as Make-up Artists or as advisors within retail settings.


MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Leaving Cert Standard or equivalent.
Mature students welcome.
Background/experience in Art an advantage.

Further Course to enhance your employability will take place during the year such as: Gel nails, Airbrushing & Spray tan, Application of individual lashes.

Course charges - €500
(Includes €200 Government Levy and QQI exam Fee)
ITEC Exam Fees - €200
(approx.)
Students kit, uniform and specialised make up kit cost €750 approx.

Registration fee is non refundable, and secures course place.

Exemptions from Government Levy and QQI exam fee for medical card holders, those in Receipt of the SUSI grant, Back to Education Allowance or VTOS.
