What does QQI mean?
Courses offered at Grange Community College, are certified by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI).
What does it cost?
For the 2025/2026 academic year, fees have been abolished, the course registration fee is €50.*
Can I get a grant?
Yes. Grants are available to eligible students. Eligibility depends on individual financial circumstances, and applications must be made through Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI). For more details, visit www.susi.ie.
Can I attend and continue to receive Social Welfare?
A special programme may allow applicants receiving benefits to attend a course while continuing to receive payments. This is called the Back to Education Allowance (BTEA). Applicants must meet certain eligibility criteria. Please always check with the Department of Social Protection prior to enrolling in a course.

How is my course certified?
QQI courses are aligned with the National Framework of Qualifications. For more details, visit www.nfq.ie.
Can I use my QQI Award to continue to Higher Education courses?
Yes. many Higher Education Institutions—including universities, Institutes of Technology, and private colleges—offer places on a variety of courses to QQI certificate holders. Further information is available at www.qqi.ie.
